EGEMIN’S LATEST PROJECT WILL COMBINE 17 CUSTOM AGVS AND E’WMS® SOFTWARE HOLLAND, MI—Egemin Automation Inc. will automate the existing facility of a major snack foods specialist in Mexico City, Mexico, in an effort to consolidate several warehouse and distribution facilities into one centralized location. This move will prepare the company for growth in the coming years.
Egemin will install 17 custom forklift AGVs, an automated battery exchange system, and Egemin’s Warehouse Management System. Transports will occur between shipping, storage, and case-picking areas of the facility. The updated facility is capable of housing more than 20,000 pallets on gravity flow rack of up to five levels in height. The project is scheduled to go live in Fall of 2015.
